Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
Assembly
  • 4 large croissants halved
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter
Burger Sauce
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp pickle juice

  • Cast iron skillet
  • Spatula
  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Mix burger sauce ingredients and refrigerate.
  2. Divide beef into 4 balls.
  3. Heat skillet over medium-high.
  4. Toast croissants in butter until golden.
  5. Smash beef balls onto hot skillet and season.
  6. Cook until crispy, flip, add cheese, cook until melted.
  7. Assemble burgers with sauce and toppings.

Notes

Use high heat for best crust and avoid pressing after flipping.
