Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs chicken thighs cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger grated
  • 0.33 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok
  • Mixing bowl
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook chicken pieces until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add garlic and ginger and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, and sesame oil.
  5. Pour sauce over chicken and stir well.
  6. Simmer until sauce thickens and coats chicken.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions and serve.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
