Method
- Unwrap mozzarella sticks and pat dry.
- Prepare flour, beaten eggs, and seasoned breadcrumb mixtures in separate bowls.
- Coat each stick in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
- Repeat egg and breadcrumb coating for double breading.
- Freeze breaded sticks for at least 60 minutes.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry sticks in batches until golden, 2–3 minutes.
- Drain briefly and serve hot with dipping sauce.
Notes
Freezing is essential to prevent cheese from leaking during frying.
