Ingredients
  

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 8 oz Italian sausage casings removed
  • 0.75 cup ricotta cheese whole milk
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 clove garlic grated
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp red chili flakes to taste
  • 2 tbsp honey plus more for drizzling
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • fresh basil for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Cook sausage in a skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Mix ricotta with garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stretch pizza dough into a round and transfer to baking surface.
  5. Spread ricotta, add mozzarella, sausage, and chili flakes.
  6. Bake until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  7. Drizzle with honey immediately after baking.
  8. Garnish with basil, slice, and serve.

Notes

Drizzle honey while pizza is hot so it melts into the toppings.
