Ingredients
  

Brioche Rolls
  • 6 brioche buns
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar optional
Vanilla Custard
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp butter
Strawberry Filling
  • 1.5 cups strawberries chopped
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Heat milk until warm.
  2. Whisk egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch.
  3. Slowly combine with milk and cook until thickened.
  4. Add butter and vanilla, then cool completely.
  5. Cook strawberries with sugar and lemon juice.
  6. Fill brioche rolls with custard and strawberries.
  7. Top and serve warm or chilled.

Best served fresh to maintain soft brioche texture and creamy filling.
