Ingredients
  

Brioche Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.75 cup warm milk
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
Vanilla Custard
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Strawberry Filling
  • 1 cup strawberries chopped
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk with sugar.
  2. Knead dough and let rise until doubled.
  3. Prepare custard and cool completely.
  4. Mix strawberries with cream and sugar.
  5. Fill dough balls with custard and strawberry cream.
  6. Bake until golden and finish with powdered sugar.

Ensure fillings are cool before stuffing dough to avoid leaks.
