Ingredients
  

Waffle Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.75 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.25 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Strawberry Filling
  • 1.5 cups strawberries chopped
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Prepare strawberry filling by cooking strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice until thickened. Cool completely.
  2. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Mix dry waffle ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another, then combine.
  4. Preheat waffle maker and grease lightly.
  5. Add batter, cheesecake filling, strawberry filling, then top with more batter.
  6. Cook until golden and crisp.
  7. Serve warm with toppings of choice.

Notes

Do not overfill waffles to avoid leakage. Best served fresh.
