- Divide ground beef into four loose balls.
- Heat skillet over high heat.
- Place beef balls onto skillet and smash thin with spatula.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook 2–3 minutes until crispy.
- Flip and add cheese.
- Cook another 1–2 minutes until cheese melts.
- Serve on toasted buns with toppings.
Notes
Use high heat and smash patties immediately for best crispy edges.
