Ingredients
  

  • 2.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • green food coloring as needed
  • red heart sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla.
  4. Mix in green food coloring, then dry ingredients.
  5. Roll dough into balls, coat in sugar, and place on baking sheet.
  6. Press a red heart sprinkle into each cookie.
  7. Bake 9–11 minutes until set but soft.
  8. Cool briefly before transferring to wire rack.

Notes

Do not overbake for best soft texture.
