Ingredients
  

Main
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 0.25 cup white wine optional
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped
  • Parmesan cheese for serving

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Pot for pasta
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Tongs

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta al dente and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Sauté shrimp in olive oil and butter until pink; remove and set aside.
  3. In same skillet, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes, add wine if using.
  4. Return shrimp to skillet, toss with pasta, lemon juice, and reserved pasta water.
  5. Garnish with parsley and Parmesan, serve immediately.

Notes

Use medium heat to avoid overcooking shrimp and ensure glossy sauce.
