Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Slice bread in a crisscross pattern without cutting all the way through.
- Stuff cheese into every gap between the bread slices.
- Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and baking soda.
- Brush garlic butter mixture generously over the entire loaf.
- Wrap loosely in foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Unwrap and bake for another 10–12 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Optional: broil for 1–2 minutes for crispy edges.
- Rest for 5 minutes, then pull apart and serve warm.
Notes
Best served fresh while cheese is hot and stretchy.
