Method
- Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate.
- Divide beef into four portions and shape patties, seasoning both sides.
- Cook bacon until crispy, set aside.
- Cook patties in skillet or grill 3–4 minutes per side.
- Add cheddar to patties during last minute, cover to melt.
- Toast buns lightly.
- Assemble burgers: bottom bun, lettuce, tomato, first patty with cheese, bacon, second patty with cheese, onion, top bun.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Adjust sauce spiciness to taste. Use high-fat beef for juicy burgers.
