- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cupcake pans.
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs and vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until smooth.
- Bake cupcakes 18–20 minutes and cool completely.
- Beat frosting ingredients until fluffy and tint with food coloring.
- Arrange cupcakes on a board and frost as one cake.
