Method
- Activate yeast in warm water with sugar.
- Mix flour and salt, then add yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead until smooth.
- Let dough rise in a warm place until doubled.
- Press dough into an oiled rectangular pan.
- Add cheese edge‑to‑edge and optional toppings.
- Bake at 500°F for 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Spread sauce on top, bake 2–3 more minutes.
- Slice and serve hot.
Notes
Brick cheese helps create the signature crispy edge but can be substituted with mozzarella and Monterey Jack.
