Method
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and place cubed brioche evenly in the dish.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, cream, ½ cup sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth. Pour over bread.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Drizzle melted butter over soaked bread.
- Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes until center is set and top lightly golden.
- Sprinkle remaining sugar over casserole. Caramelize using a kitchen torch or broiler.
- Let rest 5–10 minutes. Serve warm with optional berries or powdered sugar.
Notes
For best results, soak overnight. Customize with chocolate, nuts, or spices.
