Ingredients
  

Pasta & Protein
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper optional
Alfredo Sauce
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 cup pasta water

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Pot for pasta
  • Tongs
  • Mixing spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta until al dente and reserve pasta water.
  2. Season shrimp with Cajun spices.
  3. Cook shrimp in olive oil until pink and set aside.
  4. Sauté garlic in butter.
  5. Add cream and simmer gently.
  6. Stir in parmesan cheese until smooth.
  7. Add pasta water and adjust sauce.
  8. Toss pasta and shrimp together.
  9. Garnish and serve hot.

Notes

Best served immediately for creamy texture.
