Pie Batter
  • 2 cups apples peeled and sliced
  • 3 eggs large
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.75 cups milk
  • 0.25 cup butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a pie dish.
  2. Spread sliced apples evenly in the bottom of the dish.
  3. Whisk eggs and sugar together until light.
  4. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk in flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  6. Pour batter over apples.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden and set.
  8. Cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Best served slightly warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
