Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 3.5 cups bread flour
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 0.25 cup warm water
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Filling
  • 0.75 cup fruit jam
  • 2 tbsp melted butter for brushing
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk, water, and sugar.
  2. Mix flour, salt, yeast mixture, and butter to form dough.
  3. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let dough rise until doubled.
  5. Stretch dough into greased pan and rise again.
  6. Dimple dough and add jam.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 22–25 minutes.
  8. Brush with butter and dust with powdered sugar.

Deep dimples help hold jam filling properly.
