Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and whisk in sugar. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix until just combined. Pour into pan.
- Prepare cookie dough by creaming butter with sugars, adding milk and vanilla. Stir in flour and fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop cookie dough spoonfuls evenly over brownie batter and gently press.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over cookie dough and swirl lightly. Sprinkle sea salt on top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Cool completely.
- Slice into squares and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
Notes
Optionally chill for 30 minutes before slicing for cleaner layers. Add nuts or white chocolate for variation.
