Ingredients
  

Mac & Cheese Base
  • 12 oz elbow macaroni
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
BBQ Pulled Pork Layer
  • 2 cups pulled pork
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
Topping
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese extra

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Baking dish
  • Whisk
  • Mixing spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a pot, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk and cream to form a thick sauce.
  3. Stir in cheddar and mozzarella until fully melted and creamy.
  4. Mix BBQ sauce into cheese sauce for smoky flavor.
  5. Combine cooked pasta with cheese sauce.
  6. Mix pulled pork with BBQ sauce.
  7. Layer mac and cheese, pulled pork, then more mac and cheese in a baking dish.
  8. Top with extra cheese and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes.
  9. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
